Evian Water

Along with San Pellegrino (from Italy) and Perrier, Evian is the most visible luxury water in the world. A flagship product of prestigtious Groupe Danone, Evian’s source in Haute Savoie was discovered in 1789 by the Marquis de Lessert. Nitrates are acceptable at 3.8 milligrams per liter; other than that, there really is nothing exceptional in its chemistry besides the strong level of Silica, and low Sodium content. With its neutral 7.2 pH, Evian rolls along, providing a signature taste enjoyed by many.

Fiji Water

Apart from tourism, Fiji Water is probably the biggest industry in this small, remote Pacific nation. The water begins as rain in the tropical forest, and filters through the ground for hundreds of years in Viti Levu before entering the aquifer. Fiji is classified as a Very Low Mineral water and has a desirable 7.5 pH factor. The most notable chemical aspect is its high silica, often associated with waters that are harvested from areas with volcanic geology. Once the darling of Hollywood types who admired its purity and packaging, Fiji can now be found almost everywhere, including here at http://www.BigAppleGrocer.net for those who love it as much as ever.
